Coming in the first quarter of 2008, APA in put into service an Alltec DN A-Series diode-pumped Nd: YAG Laser Marker. This machine is a 50 Watt version and will be used in line with a Komax Gamma 333PC cutting stripping and crimping machine. This addition gives APA a permanent capability which is often required for Avionic and Military applications. Wire and multiconductor cable can be marked for 10AWG to 26AWG size product.
American Precision Assemblers, Inc. has entered a business agreement with Pan International Electronics (PIE) located in Penang, Malaysia. PIE is a QS 9000, IS 9002, UL/CSA and TUV certified assembly house. The relationship provides APA with global manufacturing presence. PIE capabilities included: Cable Assembly, Plastic Injection Molding, Mold and Die Fabrication, LCD Module Assembly, PCBA by SMT and through hole, Flexible Printed Circuit Assembly, 10k/100k Clean Room Electronic Product Assembly and Complete Box Builds.
APA passed for certificationl of ISO9001/2000 standard for our Hampshire Illinois facility, by Underwriters Laboratories(UL). UL is APA's registrar for ISO certifications. Official approval was announced on October 13th, 2003.
APA's Hermosillo Mexico Facility passed for certification of ISO9001/2000 on May 4th, 2004.
The
ISO9001/2000 standard emphasizes
management commitment to an overall company quality system, while
continuing to concentrate on continuous improvement.
American
Precision Assemblers and Siemens have maintained a relationship
dating back to 1998. During this period, there have been many changes
and experiences
between the two companies. Throughout, APA's commitment to customer
service and quality for Siemens has remained constant.
On October 9, 2002 APA achieved the status of "Siemens Certified Supplier" for Siemens Medical Solutions - Nuclear Medicine Group, Hoffman Estates, IL.
This is quite an accomplishment given Siemens tough quality standards. As a benefit, APA will be listed in Siemens Global Procurement Web. This is a listing to be used by other Siemens divisions for potential sourcing opportunities and supplier selection.
